In 2019, antibiotic-resistant infections caused 1.27 million deaths, and it is estimated that by 2050, the annual death toll will exceed 10 million. This underscores the importance of early diagnosis and timely treatment for healthcare systems.
To address this challenge, Itrust Medtech Co., Ltd. was established in 2024 as an independent entity from Point Robotics Medtech, focusing on innovations in microbial identification and antibiotic resistance analysis technologies. Its core product, the "AI Raman Microbial Detection System," is the world's first diagnostic system to apply Raman spectroscopy technology to the medical market. This system can rapidly identify 13 severe antibiotic-resistant strains announced by the WHO, providing efficient and cost-effective diagnostic solutions.
The system can complete microbial identification and antibiotic resistance prediction in a short time, enhancing clinical efficiency. Additionally, it reduces the financial burden on medical institutions by offering a cost lower than imported instruments. Furthermore, the system is flexible and can quickly adapt to the evolution of new microorganisms, continuously improving identification accuracy and expanding the application of the microbial database. It provides medical institutions and academic research units with a fast, accurate, and versatile comprehensive solution.
Currently, Itrust Medtech has partnered with several medical centers to conduct clinical trials, training AI models to enhance the system's accuracy and usability, thereby accelerating product commercialization. In the future, Itrust Medtech will continue to optimize its technology to help global healthcare systems address the antibiotic resistance crisis, reduce the diagnostic burden on medical institutions, and promote the realization of early diagnosis and timely treatment.
